Major supermarket brands are members of the RSPO, a global greenwashing certification scheme that allows these brands to continue with deforestation, ecocide, illegal land-grabbing from indigenous people, slavery and child labour. The RSPO props up these brands with with marketing despite these activities. These activities go against the RSPO’s own rules, yet the RSPO does not punish any of these supermarket brands!
This is why Palm Oil Detectives advocates for you to #Boycottpalmoil and #Boycott4Wildlife, all of these supermarket brands are linked to palm oil deforestation in 2021.
This is because the RSPO’s ‘sustainable’ palm oil industry is not working and infact this this self-monitoring fails completely.
Here are some alternative palm oil free products by smaller organisations. They deliver to many parts of the world. To help the animals, shop and buy locally made, with smaller producers who use ethical ingredients. See below:
Until big brands cease #deforestation completely I am going #palmoilfree. I boycott supermarket brands & @RSPOtweets members destroying rainforests for #palmoil #meat #soy sending animals #extinct! I’ve joined the #Boycott4WildlifeTweet
